The Crisis Project – Dear

Things have been a bit crazy around these parts of late. Moving house is no small matter, but moving country (and actually continent) is pretty exasperating work. It's meant even though I've been listening to a lot of music, I've had little time to write about any of it. Thankfully that's about to change, and I'm going to start by revisiting one of my favourite Record Labels of the last few years Cut Records.   Anyone who's followed...

Big Mister Doom – Receipts

Back in the mid-00's it was almost impossible to avoid the glitch heavy sound of artists like ediT/Glitch Mob, Prefuse73, Chocolate Industries and artists of a similar ilk.   That Glitchy beat heavy was a real meeting point for so many genres; Hip Hop because of the beats and so often cuts and vocal samples, Electronica and House because of the mood and sound set as well as the more experimental listeners due to the glitches and heavy processing. Labels...

Blind Mice – Winter Solo

I've featured a few tracks from various EP’s on the wonderful Cut Records over the last few weeks, and I'm going to feature another today in Blind Mice's – Winter Solo, from their Harbour EP. Cut Records are doing some really interesting things lately, as mentioned before there is their subscription process where you pay 2 a month and get complete access to their entire catalogue, but a subscription service is only good value for...

AGC Esquire – Love Scene At Bay Ridge

This week sees me in the full throws of an electronica splurge that shows no signs of abating, so this morning saw me grab my Nexus and load up a playlist of Cut Records finest (more on them later). Short walk to the station and an empty carriage to myself (thanks SNCF) gave me peace and quiet to listen through, as is normal i found myself fixated on a particular track and todays was: AGC...
