As you will know occasionally i like to put a dj mix up on the blog for your listening delight, and today is one of those days. I should also be honest and say todays is a little bit of a break from the norm, in that i have a little stake in this mix as being involved in the Interesting Blends/The Walk to Work collective I’m inflicting on you a mix by Project Tempo, who are most definitely part of the extended family.
Well what’s the point in having your own website if you can’t occasionally break your own rules?
Below is a promo mix done by PT ahead of their DJ set at this Fridays Disco Deviance at the Queen of Hoxton, it’s a nice little 45 minute listen taking in some classic disco and modern slo-mo all slapped together in heir typical fashion with a lot of delay washing it out.
The thing i like about DJ Mixes and why I sometimes like to feature them is they can expose the listener to so much more music than a one off track selection, and i think this covers those bases in nice way.
So, shameless promotion time, this Friday you can catch a rare DJ set by Project Tempo at the Disco Deviance night at the Queen of Hoxton in London, The line up is pretty impressive featuring the Legendary Rahaan, Dicky Trisco & Pete Herbert, Sloth Boogie and Matty J (from Tirk/for the love).
