Tokyo Dawn Records is a label i've followed for  along time, releases by vindahl and their the Boogie compilations have been staple parts of my listening and DJ'ing playlists over the last few years. They have an ear for unadulterated funk. 

So while i was away on holiday a copy of their new LP Opolopo's Mutants Volume 2. I'm not going to lie it went onto my phone yesterday and hasn't been off rotation since. There are lots of brilliant tracks on it, and it's quite eclectic whilst never straying THAT far from the boogie funk sound, but the track that's really been jumping out at time is the long lost Funkadelic sounds of:

It's utterly awesome. Trust me. If you like Stones Throw hip hop, and Zapp style G-funk soul then this album and particularly this track is for you.
