I've always been a big fan of Stones Throw Records and the man behind the label Peanut Butter Wolf, so when Boiler room LA commissioned him to do a 12 hour DJ set my interest was piqued.
Who has 12 hours to sit and listen to a DJ though? Not me for certain, but thankfully it's there for download to listen at your convenience (i.e. on the train).
It was done a few months ago, but I've been listening to it on my way to work over the last two days as it's the first chance I've had to listen to it. It's a nice mix full of rare grooves and some classic hip hop. PBW lets the music rather than the mixing do the talking and it's nice to hear tracks in their entirety and the way a good DJ can build a set and keep you interested with nothing more that fantastic music.
There really isn't much more to say really, so short post, but i've really enjoyed it and I think anyone who reads this blog will do also.
