Growing up in the UK, and in particular Essex, you couldnt' really get away from the Piano house sound. That 3 finger M1 chord hammered up and down the scale….. wait, i'm not complaining, it was f*cking great!
It is a bit of a chestnut sound now, done to death it's on rare occasion now i hear it and have the same ear to ear grin experience i had back in the hazy days of my youth, cluelessly trekking around Essex looking for a decent club with my friends.
Anyway, this week i stumbled upon a track from back in 2013, by Lukas Nystrand, a producer from Stockholm. Gamla Slokan. Now, i don't know much Swedish, but strangely of the little I do I know that means something along the lines of "Old School", which is apt because the track is just that M1 preset pounded out in a wonderfully unpityingly cheese filled 4 minutes of pleasure.
It came out on Stuido Barnhaus, and that's about as much as I know. The EP (Studio Barnhaus EP1) is pretty great, all the tracks are quite varied, but this is the one that jumps out.
It's great, there's not much more to it than that.
