I've been listening to a lot of older music of late, a lot of newer stuff just wasn't inspiring me and I thought it was time i dragged myself out of my little slump and got back on the horse. So i hit the blogs, hit the DL stores, hit youtube and so on… so i guess it's somewhat ironic that the track i ended up blogging today is about as big a throw back to the 90's as you're gonna get without digging out a Ministry of Sounds Annual from that period.
Ferreck Dawn & Redondo – Love too Deep
It's one of those tracks that the influence is unmistakable – and whilst it's very clearly got the Robins S organ Bass sound slamming about all the way through it it's more the whole UK Garage infectiously looped vocal, snappy snare.
The thing i really like about this though is that it's coming form the group of European producers that have grabbed that hybrid UK Garage/House sound and run with it. People like Chocolate Avenue, Paris's The Mekanism and Redondo from Amsterdam, and they've really made it their own sound.
Anyway, all in all it's a bit of a killer really, and while i'm fully aware it's an incredibly lazy blog form me today i'm gonna leave it there and let you enjoy it.
