So as Aapie pointed out yesterday, day to day life can get in the way of us checking stuff out and posting stuff. Some nights I have all the best intentions of sticking something up or checking something out nut I never quite make it.
Anyway, enough with the excuses, tonight I am going to go with a classic piece of funk/soul by the mighty Breakwater. I thought one of us may have posted this before but it appears not. I have been doing this 7 days, 7 tracks thing that is doing the rounds on Facebook and I have been focusing on guilty pleasures. I was trying to think of cheesy stuff I like that I rally shouldn't and today's track for some reason popped into my head. Yes it's a touch on the cheese side but it is a stone cold classic and not a guilty pleasure in sight.
Say You Love Me Girl is just immense from start to finish, with the amazing percussion chopping guitar intro to the, tremendous harmonies to the 'what the hell is that' synth solo. After all these years it still amazes me how good it is every time I hear it.
