Been a tough old week, and being knackered and out on my feet this morning i decided to keep it retro and browsed through my classic soul and funk collection. I stumbled back onto today’s choice and just had to blog it:

I'm not going to spend ages wittering on about how great it is, i reckon if you haven't got it by the end of the first bar you won't, those drums hit hard, the squeal brings a sense of dread you seldom get in soul music and Baby Hueys voice though gentle as it comes just cuts right through.
It's been sampled, used in films, and it's probably a track that everyone can relate to at some point.
