About the The Walk to Work
We imagine most people listen to music on their daily journey, and if you are anything like us you are always looking to discover new and exciting music, be it new or old, and that’s where we hope this blog will come in useful.
The people behind the blog are into music in all it’s forms, be that Dance, Indie, Hip Hop or 80′s Hair Metal. It’s what ever floats their boat on that day, posted up for others to listen to. There will be old tracks, new tracks, things we’ve just discovered, and while it may not be stuff you will like every single time, we hope you’ll find the occasional great track here, and a few OK ones to boot.
Basically it’s a tenuous reason to just post up music in a vain attempt to bring it to other peoples attention. But be warned, we may not be writers, but we do love music and the posts will be short and sharp with the occasional mix/podcast thrown in.
However if you need something with a bit more substance you can always hop on over to “The Walk to Works” sister blog http://www.interestingblends.com which covers similar music but with a bit more behind each post.
Hopefully you’ll find something to make you ears prick up.
Aapie was born and grew up in London but now lives in Paris, France.
DJ and club promoter for over 15 years. Curator of the Interesting Blends blog, as well as contributor to The Walk to Work. Dad, and family man. Avid collector of music.
Fourbearsjr is originally from London but is now an honourary Northerner having lived in Leeds for over 10 years. Before escaping the south, he used to run many club nights across many genres and times – latin and jazz, to house, hip hop and probably his first love, indie.
He is a father and family man, a family who he regularly subjects to his opinionated selections (they have nowhere else to go).
All the contributors to The Walk to Work do so for the sheer love of great music. There is no intent to offend or undermine the artist’s ability to sell their music, so if you have a track featured on this website that you would like removed please contact us using the form below and we will remove it, no questions asked.
